Wow.
I'm pretty hard to win when it comes to customer service, but this quiet little café is absolutely worth your stop. Just off king st 50m up Bolton street.
John the manager/ owner always offers quality customer service in a way that is memorable.
Topped off by an excellent menu and venue.
The new Teff pancakes- vegan were filling and decadent.
With banana, whipped coco, mango and kafir lime coulis, roasted pineapple.
Holy my goodness, sweet, decadent, filling.
The presentation was stunning as absolutely #instaworthy
Rotating single origin beans for the filter coffee / slow drip coffee / espresso blend.
5/5 for customer service, atmosphere and menu options.
This is what Hospitality in Newcastle needs more of.

John, Jack and the crew took a reservation booking for 18 people, aswell as walk in's of an 8, 4, 4, 4, 2, and 2 all in the 5 minutes it took for me to sit down and have my coffee served.
There were already tables seated when I arrived before the 10 minute influx of 34 guest's.
For a small cafe the place was pumping and hectic, however everyone easily found a seat, with tables to spare.
The staff remained calm and collected approaching each new challenge with incredible professionalism.
My food came out promptly and my vegan Miso roasted "crack cauliflower " was bloody fantastic especially alongside a bottomless iced batch brew coffee.
This is why I feel Bolton st pantry is one of the best cafés in Newcastle.
And I was super pleased to see a dinner offering now and have complete confidence this team can handle it.
Awesome.

Environment is comfortable, atmosphere is warm. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I ordered a Benedict egg and a large cappuccino. The dish has two eggs and generous portion of pull pork on top of a toasted bread, sided with some pickled veggie. The taste is good and balanced. Coffee is good too. A total of AUD30.05, a good deal. Love it!

Very tasty breakfast, very good variety on the menu, makes you want to eat everything on it, difficult to choose just one option, perfect food and coffee, nothing to complain about, highly recommend, excellent service.

Wow! They’ve started dinners on the weekends. We went Friday, loved it so much we went back Saturday! Chef Noodle is a genius and John the owner has so much vision for this Newy brunch scene fave. I can’t even pick a favourite dish. Everything is unique and well balanced. Ceviche, oysters, calamari, Brussel sprouts 🤤, beef tartare (so clever), I ate a whole bowl of clams myself, deliciously presented cucumber, wagyu beef, a unique take on Cacio e Pepe with a hint of truffle, a small but wonderful wine selection, awesome cocktails, and two of the best desserts we’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time. Watch out Newy. Bolton St Pantry is doing dinner and giving everyone a run for their money.
I forgot to get photos of most of the dishes, but I’ll post below what I did manage to snap!

Bolton Street Pantry delivered one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in Newcastle. The chilli scrambled eggs were spot-on, full of flavour, a little kick, and cooked exactly how scrambled eggs should be. The coffee was so good I ended up having two, which says everything really.
Friendly vibe, great food, excellent coffee. Easy place to recommend and even easier to return to.

This place is amazing!! We ordered brunch, coffee, hot chocolate and smoothie, they were beautiful and delicious. Friendly staffs and fast service. Definitely will come back again.
Recommend the chilli scrambled egg dish, it was spicy for me, but I loved it! It was not just a boring egg dish but full of elements that made it become perfect menu.

Great little cafe nestled on Bolton Street, Newcastle.
Friendly staff, great coffee and my eggs on gluten free were nice.
My only disappointment was that the butter they use is not gluten free.
I will return for a coffee and Brekky again when I am Newcastle next.
